Nath calls for training to harness HR skills
New Delhi - January, 6, 2006
Union minister fro commerce and industry Kamal Nath today said that India Inc needed to provide right kind of training to harness the potential of the vast resevoir of human resources available in the country in order to become globally competitive.
Speaking at the Mindmine Summit here. MrNath said "Indian industry needs to workin partnership with the government to make the process of national development an all-inclusive one. There is a need to equip urban and rural youths with right kind of skills and also to encourage their latent entreprenurial talent."
"There will be over 40-crore people in india in the 18-35 age group in the next few years. Which is our biggest strength when compared with the ageing demographics of countries such as the US,Japan and France as well as challenge, that is critical for further growth of the economy" Mr Nath added.
Organised by the Herogroup promoted Hero MindMIne Insititute,
the summit is being held in collabration with educational insititutes, including Indian schools pf Business (Hyderabad), the management school at the Indian Insititute of Technology (delhi), IIM lucknow and MDI Gurgaon.
